Spring 2 Diary Dates
This half term we have several exciting things happening! We have full a list of ‘diary dates’ below. There has been a change in our school INSET days, details of this can be found below.
Monday 26th February – Foxes visit the Library
Years 5 & 6 will be given the opportunity to explore the local Library in the afternoon.
Tuesday 27th February – Squirrels visit the Library
Years 3 & 4 will be given the opportunity to explore the local Library in the afternoon.
Thursday 1st March - World Book Day
Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from a book. There will be a prize for the best costume. We will be holding a school assembly at 2.30 pm where you are invited to come and see what the children have been up to as part of World Book Day and the winner of the best costume will be announced in this assembly.
Wednesday 21st March – EYFS Easter Bonnet Parade
EYFS will be holding our annual Easter Bonnet Parade this year. Children are asked to make their own Easter Bonnet at home with family members and bring it into school on the above date. We will have our parade in the hall at 9.30 am. All family and friends are welcome!
Tuesday 20th March – Hoglets visit Windmill Farm
This half term EYFS are focussing on Spring. As part of this topic, Hoglets will be visiting Windmill Farm where they will get the opportunity to explore lots of different farm animals.
Wednesday 21st March – Parents Evening
This will be our Spring term parents evening. It gives parents an opportunity to meet their child’s class teacher and discuss their progress and end of year targets.
Thursday 22nd March – EYFS Easter themed ‘Stay and Play’
Once again we will be holding a ‘Stay and Play’ in early years. This gives parents and guardians the opportunity to come into school and work alongside their child/children to complete a range of Easter themed activities. There will be two sessions in the morning, one running at 9.30 am – 10.30 am, the other session will be 10.30 am – 11.30 am. More information will be sent out nearer the time.
Friday 23rd March – Sport Relief
Children can wear their own sports clothing to school for the day in exchange for £1 each which will be donated to Sport Relief. In addition to this we will be taking part in a variety of sponsored sporting events throughout the day.
There has been a change in our school INSET days. Monday 9th April 2018 will now be an INSET day and school will be CLOSED. This will replace Friday 25th May 2018 which will now be a normal working day and children will be in school. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
