Headteacher's Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to our school. Little Digmoor is a small community primary school in Skelmersdale with approximately 140 pupils on roll. Although we are small, we are rapidly growing! Due to this growth, with the exception of KS1, (Years 1 and 2 are a mixed class), we are now a one form entry school.

The aim of our school is to provide children with a quality education which will set them up for life. We are passionate about providing a holistic experience for our children in which they all thrive. Our school motto is aspire, believe, achieve. We chose these words as we felt they were our most important values that underpin all of our teaching and learning. It is our aim that children will aspire, believe and achieve their goals in life!

At Little Digmoor, we are passionate about our pupil voice. We believe that children should have a say in their education and their thoughts and opinions have been instrumental in driving the changes that we have put in place within school. (You can read more about this on our Pupil Voice webpage.) The children are at the heart of every decision we make regarding our school.

Additionally, we are incredibly proud of our links with the local community. They are key to our growth as a school. We have excellent links with parents and families, neighbours, Governors, local counsellors and local businesses. We aim to provide regular opportunities to bring our community together, usually through a range of celebrations.

If you would like to know more about our school, we encourage you to come and visit us! We would be delighted to show you around. Visits can be arranged by contacting Ms Mulligan in the school office on 01695 724539.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
